If You could revise one of your favorite videogames, what would you change about it, and why?

Do you have a videogame you absolutely love, but you've got one (or more) minor (or perhaps major?) gripe(s)? What is it, and how would you alter the game?

You have carte blanche.

I would change never seeing your feet in pretty much every FPS :D

Heh, that's always slightly disconcerting. "Where's my character's feet...can he levitate?"

Would you allow players to literally shoot themselves in the foot and cause self-inflicted damage?

freelancer-
lot more ships and guns(4x more). Free M$ servers w/ universal accounts so you keep character if you switch servers.
The game galaxy is huge, but the possible items you can get are few =(

incorporate a player bieng able to get a big battleship other plrs can land in, buy store stuff, trade stuff, etc etc...

UT2004:
  • Lower the shock rifle primary fire damage from 45 to 35
  • Make Team ArenaMaster an out-of-the-box gametype since it has more players than ONS or DM anyway
  • lengthen the Lightning Gun fire rate by a tenth of a second
  • Increase direct rocket damage and decrease splash damage
  • incorporate all of UTComp's features as part of regular gameplay

Quake 4:
  • Pick a different engine besides the Doom 3 engine
  • Nerf railgun damage by 25, rocket splash radius by 1/3, and fix the weird movement glitches
  • Brightskins/etc, by DEFAULT

Counter Strike: Source
  • Throw it away

World of Warcraft
  • Make it less repetitive and give it more of a unified storyline

FF6:
- Modernize the graphics and music.
- Make Kefka a much harder final boss; increase his health considerably.
- Decrease the amount of random battles and tone down its difficulty a bit.
- Disallow the Vanish/Doom (Or X-zone) trick on bosses.
- Have it come out on the Playstation before FF7 ever did so that people will realize how crappy FF7 really is in comparison to some of the older Final Fantasies, especially FF6.

FFTactics:
- Make all of Act 4 harder since it's nearly trivialized when you get Orlandu.
- Likewise, make Orlandu weaker.
- Increase the effects of Geomancers and other weak classes (I can't remember all of them since it's been a while since I played it)
- Have the final boss use special abilities more often, instead of just attack. Increase its health and damage considerably. This is about the weakest final boss I've ever seen.
- Increase the characters allowed to 24.

Starcraft:
- Make SC2, now!
