I think it's time.

No, I'm not quitting yet.

But I think it's time I get on with actually playing the game. I've been talking about it for months, but never really getting around to it.

I've finally forced myself to realize that there is no limit to how powerful and how well-geared one can get to be "set" for anything. The past few months were spent gearing up to match the epicced-out classes, but as I've come to realize, I'll never match them in terms of gear. At the same time, many other players will probably never see the gear I already have either. As a result, I'm going to stop with the useless grind. It's time for world pvp.

It also happens to fit the fact that I can't go to IF or SW anymore too...:p

That basically means no more dungeons, no more farming, no more dkp, no more battlegrounds for me. I've made the game more of a chore than a game to enjoy, and I feel it's time to change that. I'll help out with guild stuff when absolutely needed, and maybe some time to grab supplies; but I will hold these things that make the game a chore to be much lower a priority.

So, everytime I'm on from now on I'm up for a city raid, and company would be always awesome. I'd like to get moving with making my next video too. :D

If you cannot get to IF or SW are you only going to be raiding small horde towns?

I may have some time tomorrow unless I'm raiding, now that I got rank 9 with Anadi I don't have anything more to do but farm DHKs!! Lets kill some civilians :D

Yeah actually; I was thinking about taking out the entire little low-level forsaken town right outside the undercity and recording that. I have a little plot idea where a scene like that would fit quite well.

PROBLEM is, it's been cloudy recently and my internet goes off every 30 seconds or so; so I've hardly been able to even play :(

I did do pvp in darnassus for a while; but personally, battlegrounds are now just there for me to get flamed and irritated. The new pvp sets aren't worth it even though I do like them.

Last but not least, I'm sick of going against the same full tier 2 groups over and over and over and over again. How fun is it watching a rez timer all day long while getting flamed for not healing?!

Edit: Typically it's this group I see:

Even tho a lot of them are actually decent fellows. It's the alliance that i don't like very much...

World PvP, eh?

Two questions:
  1. Is 48 too low a level to join in a city raid?
  2. Is Azzie looking for an apprentice? :D
With no strong desire (as of yet) to break the level 50 barrier, and with a need for something to occupy my time in battleground queues, AND with fond memories of DAoC PvP (or RvR, rather), I must say that I'm quite interested in world PvP.

1) No. After today's TM raid (which seemed to go pretty well other than the holdups) I feel a minimum level would simply be 40 for mobility (mount and all). 20's is a tad bit low and typically 20s result in death within seconds of any encounter...and they also take a long time to get anywhere.

2) Apprentice? Ehh, not sure how exactly I would mentor a character of different class....but! Since you're a dwarf hunter, I could use a hand with a few video clips using your character. You wouldn't happen to look like the dwarf hunter in the WoW intro cinematic, would you?

Just a thing about it. After today's raid I noticed that when numbers get large things get slow, and involve waaayy too many npc guards and waaayy too much risk of dishonorable kills (personally I don't care, but if people in my group do it tears the raid apart instantly.)
For the stuff I'm gonna do from now on, I'm going to cut down the number of people in my group to a maximum of 5 at a time (anyone is welcome to fight in the area; just not in my group). I'm not trying to take down the cities; I'm just trying to get horde OUT of them and pvp outdoors.
Taking down a city requires lots of people, lots of dishonorable kills, lots of organization, lots of high-levels, and of course, lots more time.

"Flourescent green monkey" is in reference to the Imp of warlocks. "hiding under his..." I assume is in reference to the warlocks robes. All of which Goblit is referenceing to Odales post. As we all know, Odale has a warlock, Osyris, who has a flourescent green monkey hiding under his ...

Bahahahahahaha XD

That was a really long and late night for us. XD

fyi....I was there when Osirys said the thing that Goblit is talking about over Vent. Hilarious! XD

Goblit was talking about her dog and what it does when it thunders at her house - it hides under her desk. Well, I had just summoned my Imp out and it wouldn't stand beside me, it would stand in me. So I said: "It must be thundering here too, my Imp wont stay out of my dress."

...and now you know.
