First, the Divine Spirit and Spirit Tap help out a TON while soloing. The only time I had to sit down and drink was every 30 minutes when my Fort and Spirit buff ran out, that's it.

Also when this build brought me from 6100 mana to 6700 mana. I nice increase if I may say so.

Power Infusion is great. It increases my spell damage and healing by 20% for 15 seconds. I tried a few different methods of damage tonight and found that I can get 5 spells off in the 15 seconds. For Priests would would like to know for future use, the above build (2/5 in Imp Mind Blast is a must) allows this damage pattern using Power Infusion.

Cast in this order. Power Infusion, Mind Blast, Smite, Smite, Mind Blast, Smite.

The Power Infusion to the first Mind Blast has to be instant. PI does not have a global cool down so as soon as you click PI, immediatly click on Mind Blast.

I know these types of threads don't get a lot of replys, however feel free to ask questions or give your opinion.

Very interesting. Seems like the tradeoffs are:

Darkness --> Force of Will (about a wash, but since crits only do +50% dmg this may actually be a slight reduction in damage done)

Shadow Form --> Power Infusion (a substantial drop off in damage, 15% damage boost all the time vs 20% damage boost every 15s/180s).

Abilities gained (vs 31 shadow/20 disc):

+10% mana and +40 spirit

Abilities lost:

healed 30% of dmg dealt (Imp VE)
+20% range
Possibly silence (depends on spec)

I can totally see where you coming from with this change. You get the dps when you need it w/ power infusion, but you definitely get a lot more longevity between drinks.

BTW with both spirit tap and meditation, if you proc spirit tap and continue to cast spells do you get mana regenerated at 65% of normal (i.e. do they stack)?

One thing I was wondering about, since you are going to be critting more often would it be more beneficial to put some talents into silent resolve? So you don't have to do aggro wipes as often? Crits generate a fair amount more aggro than normal. Just a thought, perahps it won't make much of a difference in practice.

Overall a very cool build, one of those builds where the more you think about it the better it seems. I especially like tying spirit tap + divine spirit, I would imagine that's huge (effectively it acts like +80 spirit when spirit tap procs).

Definitely has given me some food for thought w/ my own little priest. :)

Yes, they do stack so 65% regen while casting is possible.

I had actually debated between putting the points into Silent Resolve instead of Force of Will. That was one of the things that took me a while to come up with. I came up with this reasoning behind my selection. If I'm soloing somwhere, say the WPL's, there is zero point to have Silent Resolve. However, in a group, there would be reasoning behind it. I considered a few things. 1, if a warrior is holding agro like a warrior should, I shouldn't get agro anyway. If I do get agro, click the Priesty Favorite Button which = Fade and no more agro letting the Warrior regain it. Next I looked at what buffs I would get from party members and instantly thought of Pally's. Their threat reduction buff that I usually ask for anyway helps out there also. With a warrior holding agro correctly, Fade, and Salvation (pally buff, I think this is the name), that would have been 4 points spent in Silent Resolve that would be wasted. So those points went into Unbreakable Will to help with me with Stun/Fear/Silence issues.

I messed around with the new build all last night and this morning and so far, I really enjoy it. The major problem with my healing build I had was that I missed Mind Flay WAAAAAAAAY to much. This build gives me advantages to Smite, Mind Blast, and Mind Flay for damage. This morning I already beat my record Crits and Normal damage for my Smite spell. It will be interesting to see how my Crits go in ZG come Monday night, if I can go.

With Divine Spirit and Spirit Tap, I get on average +177 mana per tick. This won't happen a lot in groups because my odds of getting the final blow go way down. However, for soloing purposes, it can't be beat. I tested this last night. I drained all of my mana by giving myself Fort over and over again. I started with 17 mana. It took me just about 2 1/2 minutes to go from 17 mana to full mana (Divine Spirit was active). This is not with Sprit Tap or anything keep in mind. This is just draining my own mana on myself and going from nothing, to full mana. My full mana, which I think is mentioned above, is a little over 6700 with this spec.

So far I've enjoyed the build. However, I will have to see how I do in raids/instances. I was 3rd or 4th on the damage meter in ZG the other night until I died early on in the fights then I droped a few spots. I'll have my damage meter reset for our next run and will see where I stand.

You're right, since your build is really geared around solo play 4 talents in silent resolve wouldn't help much (really in any situation you're in). Hadn't really thought about that. I guess the problem is that there isn't anything really super to put those 4 talent points into. Unbreakable will is definitely your best choice for your character (too bad it only gives you 12% resistance chance :( ).
