I got an offer!!!!!!!

So, since my wife and I moved to Columbia, SC, in May of 2003, I've been trying to find a decent job. After over a year of searching, decided to retire the Word template resume and design my own in Illustrator. The response rate to my resume after that move jumped to over 50 percent! But, all the interviewing lead nowhere, except to one offer that was then retracted due to miscommunication(!).

Anyway, after going through three, count 'em, three interviews and writing an essay on what I thought were the three most important elements of web design, I finally got an offer! Lexington County has offered me the position of IT Specialist: Web Master, which I of course accepted. We don't even have to move.

I just wanted to share this with everybody, as it is a huge, huge, huge praise. For the last few months, we have been making less than the combined total of our bills and our rent, only scraping by through the grace of God. We haven't had two pennies to rub together in I don't know how long. There were times where we were frustrated, wondering why this was happening, but it has increased our faith tremendously, knowing that every month we'd need divine intervention (quite literally) to make ends meet. At least, I feel, we know better the emotion of "praise God from whom all blessings flow."

Anyway, I start August 2, so we're still not in the clear for this month, as all of our bills and rent have to be paid before that, and I probably won't get paid for a month or so, but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and what a beautiful, bright light it is! I haven't been this happy since I don't know when.

Congrats!

I want to be a web developer for my own business when I reach legal age (14 right now...I run Pure Fun and I am working on my own CMS)

Rock, rock on, Espresso. That should be a great job for you. I am confident God will help with your current need for money.

Man, I am so glad to hear about your job. It is quite the process to see God putting stuff together like that. But I suppose there wouldn't be another way to teach us His sovereignty, other than to just show us He's got it under control. Praise the Lord in the drought and in the rain,

It's comforting to hear sometimes that the Lord is doing the same refining in other members of the Body as He is in your own life. I've had a bit of a similar season going on for a while now too. But yes, tastywheat, the Lord is ALWAYS faithful. It's good to be covered by such a caring God.
I suppose if the greatest price has already been paid for us, He'd have the rest covered. It's good to know Him.
PTL Brother!
