I broke down and did it...

I killed an orc hunter in your honor yesterday DV. I think he was suprised to get womped by a priestess! 8^)
 
Woot! I'm glad that you bought WoW (especially after I remember that comment you made a few months ago about the game :P)

BTW, mental note, stay away from priestesses.

Can someone help me out with PVP? How exactly does this work? If a gnome comes strolling through my town, why can't I attack him?
 
PvE servers are, annoying to me. My understanding is that you both have to agree to fight. And if he doesn't agree, you don't fight. Which is why I like PvP servers, you pretty much get the option of engaging everything that crosses your path. Of course, sometimes that means you can't get anything done because the opposition has the same option.
 
I should expand this a bit, while you can flag yourself for PvPing at anytime, unless your opponent also flags himself for PvP, you can't engage them in PvP.

Is it just me or does it sound like there's some interesting story there?

And if you just got the game and there's a gnome strolling through horde territory he'd probably make you call him daddy in a matter of seconds.

You have to watch those gnomes, there are deceivingly powerful. I know that little Goblit character has made a few people suck there thumbs while rocking back and forth clutching thier stuffed toy, murming "mommy, mommy, mommy."

Have I ever duelled her? Of course. Why do you think I describe the experience so well? When she uses the fellhunter, I'm so dead in the water. Spell luck and buff eating leaves me rocking in the corner, clutching my stuffy, murmuring "Mommy" over and over again.
 
hehe..i hit Private by ganking a hunter 17 times in Booty Bay.

And when i rolled my new hunter (Zhou) I learned what dps is.

I thought it only took one kill to make Private?
 
Maybe after the pvp ease-up blizzard made, it might be 1 kill now.
But as the info says, "you must get at least 25 honor kills in a week to gain standing." Any standing would give you rank 1.
That week I got rank 1, private, after 25 honor kills in that week (17 of which happen to be the same hunter :P)

Heheh....it would have been cool if it were only 1 kill that would make me hit private. I had my first 2 honor kills during a raid the horde had on Darkmoon faire in Goldshire....Lukey was there, and i happen to buff a few guys that made kills. so, my first 2 honor kills were probably level 60's. and i was only LEVEL 12 AT THE TIME!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!
