I am getting braces, here's what I need to get them crafted!

Ok I got the spacers put in today (March 15 2006) and am getting the full set on next tuesday (March 21 2006)

I need the following materials:

5,250 gold
70 steel ingots or the iron ingots and coal to make them
Lots of stuff like silk to twine into rubber brace bands (can only be done by master crafters)

Meet me in-game so I can get these tyvm














Anyway, seriously I am getting braces. Unfortuntaely my orthodontist doesn't play Guild Wars so he can't accept the 5,250 gold instead of dollars... O yeah I forgot I can't eat chewy stuff for 2.5 years.. thats right no typo there.. then of course a retainer for a year
 
dude, they lie lol. i eat starburst and twizzlers etc, and ive had braces for a while, i should be done with them in 6-8 months
 
I eat most of the stuff they tell me not too...even though one or two of the brakets came off...woops...
 
I broke every rule when I had braces... and the only time a bracket came off when I was flossing. so the lesson is, kids, don't floss and eat junky food and your braces will last a long time.
can't say how long el-teeho-mundos will last, but you know.

I am glad that I got braces.

and just beware the spacers.. their the worst.

I don't have to get spacers, I do ahve to get rubber bands though...don't know when...
 
3 words Mike and Ikes they are the best chewy candy in the world. I ate them all the time when i had braces.
My friends just got of his braces he is a senior in high school and he got them on his freshman year!

thats 4 years! :eek: ..talk about fun....
 
Everything they tell you not to eat with braces I ate. Things like Popcorn, "chewy" things, sticky things, hard things, you name it. I've had them off for a couple years and my teeth are perfectly straight...

Well that was until my wisdom teeth started growing. Now my lower teeth are slightly crooked form their intended straight selves. That will all be rectified this May. Pray for my mouth and the loss of 4 impacted wisdom teeth :eek:

I had my four wisdom teeth taken out at the same time. The drugs I took over the next week basically turned me into a creature from some horror movie, complete with glazed-over eyes and moaning as blood poured out of my mouth.

I don't know if any of you have ever had dental work or outpatient surgery where they use Ether, but man can that get funny.

I had mine removed. I remember laying in a chair and then waking up with the teeth gone. The worst part was the throbbing afterwards. Drugs and sleep make it a little easier.

When my dad was in the Navy they yanked all four wisdom teeth out on the same day...no drugs...

As I recall, you spent most of the time in a semi-vegatitive state watching TV. I had mine out right after we got married (almost exactly five years after Paul). I had a McDonald's double cheeseburger extra value meal for dinner and went to the movies the next day. :D


But as far as braces go, be careful. If you're going to try sticky/chewy stuff, try it gradually. It can get stuck in your braces, too, which is really gross. I gave up gum, but after a couple of months I tried chewy stuff. It was okay, as long as I was careful and brushed immediately afterwards. Giving up corn on the cob was the worst for me!

And a word of warning: put on a really good layer of lip balm just before every appointment. I had a friend split both lips getting the molds or whatever done. But I used the lip balm and never had a problem.

What did they do, knock him out with a hammer first? There's just no way anyone can take that much pain without either passing out or getting doped up.
 
my wisdom teeth are coming in straight, thanks to braces. ha!

but, I did have to have 4 biscupids pulled out, and the dentist didn't wait for the stuff to fully kick in before she pulled it out. I felt it all. haha.

anesthetics take a while to work on me. one shot is never enough. haha. no joke.
Doctor: *injects* feel this?
me: yes.
Doctor: still?
me: yes
Doctor: *injects another* feel this?
me: [thinks yes] no
