How much work to attain Corporal rank?

It seems that snagging the Insignia of the Alliance trinket could come in quite handy during my adventures in Stranglethorn Vale. Thing is, one must attain the rank of Corporal to purchase the item.

So, a few questions:
  • How much work would be involved in attaining the rank of Corporal?
  • Should I even bother to join battlegrounds at level 32, or should I wait until level 38 or 39? (As I understand it, one can only hope to survive a battleground if one's level ends in an 8 or 9.)
  • If I ever lose the rank of Corporal, can I still use the Insignia of the Alliance trinket?
 
Shouldn't be too much work to get corporal, I beleive I got it somehwhere around your lvl.

You shouldn't have much trouble just cus you're a lower lvl, just don't expect to be able to solo everyone.

Whether or not you are able to use pvp gear is based on the highest rank you've ever attained, not your current rank, so you would be able to still use it.
 
I myself have not gotten the corporal rank, however I find that the best time to join in is around level 37-39, I have not reached that yet but I did play PvP when I was level 17 and 18 and I ended one day with 140 HKs. have fun in PvP and I will see you there soon :).
 
heh, icthus sums it up pretty well....although earning rank and honor is easier at higher levels, but hitting corporal is pretty easy; i hit it in one week when i hit level 41, and that was before i was a total pvp nut.

Lieutenant-Commander, on the other hand....wasnt so easy in my experience.
