I beat it last night, after playing for 4 hours or so. Anyone else played it? Opinions? Thoughts? Random trolling?
Although the game is short it has a much more dynamic feel as the storyline is actually advanced. Needless to say at times you are simply stunned as revelations from the past come into play again and a new twisting plot is slowly unveiled.
The new enemies add an interesting dynamic and level of surprise that was lacking from the typical combine and zombie incursions. Level design is superb in the new episode, I only got lost once, which is needless to say very good considering my lack of navigational skills, lol.
Oh and it runs beautifully under wine
. I ran the game with full settings (except for texture, which I set to high) and got at the lowest 30FPS. I think I will play the game again with dev commentary when I get the chance (finishing up 1/3 papers for the next 2 weeks atm)
