Went to brunch with my Dad, got nice cards and a "World's Greatest Dad" Tee shirt from my kids ...and played a double header in church league softball tonight...

Took my dad out for Bar-b-q tonite and Picked him up a new reading lamp, Also helping to pay for a new TV for the living room.
I have not had a dad since I was four. My dad went home to be with the LORD after a battle with cancer. However, each year I try to have an honorary father. This year it is a Christian friend named Dee. He has been an excellent example to me of a life fully given to the LORD; he always points others to Christ.
Also, Father's Day makes me realize that God did not leave me comfortless or fatherless. A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. Psalms 68:5
Consider the lilies, they don't toil nor sin
And there's not a key with more splendor than them
Consider the sparrows, they don't plant nor sow
But they're sent by the Master that watches them grow

My son and wife took me out for breakfast. We spent the day at the zoo. Then went plane spotting at the airport for a few hours. I got a "greatest dad - 2004" tee and wore it all day. Its was grrreeeaat.
My brother and I will be taking my father out for diner and some go karting on Tuesday.

Sounds like u had a good day. I always wanted to do plane watching when I was a kid. I used to sit outside and try to imagine where the pane wa going and coming from. Our zoo in vancouver doesn't have animals, they were sold to the states because animal rights guys protested. When I was a kid they had monkeys and cats and bugs, now they have bugs.
