GW2-Constructive Criticism

Even though Guild Wars 2 is the best MMO ever to exist (my opinion, feel free to make it yours) I think we all have a few things we would like to see improved or fixed.

So, whats your constructive criticism for Guild Wars 2?

I got 2 that are HUGE for me.

1.) Rangers pulling arrows from their back or hair is immersion breaking. Add a quiver please.

2.) Add player-to-player direct trade. I really don't want to post things on the BLT if I could just trade someone after a big boss kill.

That's what the mail-trading system is for. You can mail items to players rather than go through the BLT. Although I'm not sure if a transaction could happen through that system, such as I'll give you this bow for that dagger.

I'd assume that would be more on a trust-level. If you don't know the person you're mailing aside from them being in your immediate vicinity, the safer "trade" is auction house. Otherwise you take the chance of giving away your stuff and get nothing or junk in return.

I could see a lot of scams going on with only the mail system and no trade window.

Plus a trade window would save time after a boss kill to just trade with someone in your pug if you have something each other wants.

They are always talking about how important community is for an MMO and this would just be a way to add another layer to that.

For me, I really think they should have left the Charr as enemies. Its not game breaking and no, Anet is not going to change it. I really like the storyline of humans being an endangered species now. It would have made the Charr a really good enemy to fight, despite them being used in GW1. So, I guess for me its more cosmetic with the lore than the actual dynamics of the game. (oh, and Kudos to the guy who did the voice for the Charr - he did a great job bringing them to life).

As for other features, I haven't really paid much attention to the quiver on rangers, so that's kind of minor to me. Although if they put a quiver in, I'm not opposed to it.

However, I would like to be able to put my pet "away". I much preferred the GW1 Ranger to the GW2 Ranger where pets were optional (not mandatory). The kind of characters I like are archers. So I really like the fact that multiple professions have "archer" builds (its making 'choosing a main' difficult). But requiring Rangers to have pets has been disappointing. I would much prefer to play 'my Ranger, my way.'

I also loved the cross-professions of GW1. The variety of options made for some rather unique builds. I would have preferred they'd kept cross-professions.

Quivers for rangers and I wouldn't mind seeing guns allowed for Rangers also, and I agree with Elhanan face to face trade windows avoid alot of problems with scams. I for one would like to see them.

I agree with Elhanan's first 2 suggestions. Didn't notice either but I'm guess I would have eventually since I'm thinking Ranger as my starting character.

I thought of one that I can't believe I didn't mention.

In WvW having enemy colors not match their team colors is horrid! Especially as the red team.

If I'm red team and I see a red name my first thought is "friendly". Now they did adjust this somewhat. Instead of it saying like Green Invader in said Yak's Bend Invader .

I think that's a pretty good step but I'm so color oriented that I would just LOVE to see teams represent their color much as possible (armor, banners, tags, etc). I know it would be different that PvE but WvW is different. Maybe that's just my personal preference but I think it would be an overall improvement to WvW.
