GW Chapter 2 info!

I read that yesterday and was very disheartened to learn that the expansion won't be out until the first half of next year which probably means next summer. Gaile didn't give very much away. The only thing she/he said that's in the near future is observer mode.
 
what i want to know is, can i use the new proffesions in the first chapter, and can i import my first chapter guys into chapter 2.
 
You characters that exist now will automatically be playable in the new areas. As for starting the game with new professions, I think we'll have to wait and see.

I'm bummed about the release time eluded to as well. I'll be deploying for six months early next Summer which means I wouldn't get to experience it for quite some time. :(
 
plus would this act like a seperate game or a regular expansion pack? cuz thats the way i understood it.

Such is the military life these days. EVERYONE deploys now. It really takes a toll on the military divorce rate. These are just some of the sacrifices that our military folks make to serve our beloved country. Where you headed Slice? Hopefully wherever you go they have a decent Internet connection. :p

The crazy part is that the ship gets back from a six-month deployment in early November, and then we're turning around and heading out for this other one only six months later. We'll be doing counter-drug ops around South America. Should be pretty interesting, especially if I get on the boarding team.

As for e-mail, I'll have that. One of the perks of working in admin is an always-on internet connection via satellite. Go me! (But I will miss Guild Wars... :( It'll be PS2 games for me for the most part.)
 
Can't wait! I put in over 640+hours in 3 months playing Guild Wars! 4 lvl 20's, 3 of which beat the game and 1 at Ring Of Fire. I just got bored with her(my mesmer) and started a ranger. Love the game and can't wait for an expansion.
 
Expansion? Will we have to buy that?

Oh wait... silly me. Updates are free.

This WILL be one of those free updates right? RIGHT?

Probably not. It should come in at no more than $40 and possibly only $30. Like we mentioned, there is no reason to be mad. They have to do this in order to pay for the costs associated with running this game for free.
