gunz online

I played for less then 20 mins and quickly lvl to 4 seems like I played with some real basics, my 6 year run with cs may help :) getting a head shot in gunz was cool :)

Umm, my level 3 character, Zygmunt, just disappeared. Like...gone.

I was playing a match (in which a player was using a noclip hack) and a message popped up saying something like "There is no clan leader." After I got out of the game, I went to switch characters and Zygmunt was absent from my character selection screen.

Has anyone else had characters deleted?

EDIT: I spent a few minutes in chat (in GunZ) and people are saying that hackers can now also delete characters. I can't confirm whether this is true or not. I'm going to check the GunZ forums to see if the developers have any anti-hack measures planned for the next patch.

It seems that hacking is ruining this game just like it's ruined so many others. If you play GunZ, I recommend not logging in until the next patch. If you don't play GunZ, I recommend delaying trying out the game until they implement some security.

GunZ International Beta is still offline, more than three days after the original downtime estimate. I tried playing World of Warcraft in the interrim, but low-level questing inspires more yawn than "YES!" I even tried playing the new version of Dystopia, complete with new maps, but there's still too much thinking involved.

So, rather than go on a gaming hiatus days before my spring semester classes start, I've signed up and started playing Japanese GunZ Online (or jGunZ for short).

I hope this doesn't violate any international laws.

In jGunZ, your ping is higher and the interface is in Japanese. Oh, and there's a "Quest" mode as well. Not sure what that's about.

That pretty much covers it.

EDIT: My jGunZ character Hulda (Old Norse for "hidden") just hit level 4. w00t!
