GunZ is back! ... Kinda.

You'll need to uninstall GunZ (under "MAIET GunZ" in Add/Remove Programs), download all six parts of the install file found here, extract the multi-part RAR to your old GunZ directory, and run GunzLauncher.exe. Or you could uninstall and re-install using the official install files on the GunZ site. I used the unofficial files.

I just played a round and it's the same as always: bad netcode, a healthy share of obnoxious players, and simple deathmatch. w00t!

Awesome. That'll be the next game I install. =)

I just downloaded the Rome: Total War demo to give a test before I buy it from Mr_Slice. I don't think I'll be playing GunZ for awhile anyway. I am limiting my gaming to just weekends, for now. I'm still not finished with BF2 either.

Just racked up a ton of experience tonight and moved from level 10 to 11. w00t!

EDIT: By the way, I have yet to purchase any additional weapons, armor, or equipment for Zygmunt. I have nearly 4,000 bounty points and I'm not quite sure how to spend them.

I can see the headline: "UBER TEK PWNS ALL!"

Strike that. When I ran the unofficial client, it told me I had to download and run a patch. When I ran the patch and restarted GunzLauncher.exe, it connected to a torrent with 0 (zero) seeds.

So, GunZ is offline. Again.

The good news is that I kept jGunZ on my drive.

Bah. Turns out I could have been playing GunZ these past two weeks.

Trick is, you have to download the full client from an unofficial source. If you remember GunZ and liked it, snag the full client (~132MB), re-install, and get to gaming!

will do I've been waiting to get back in to gunz

side note: Tek is jgunz worth downloading to? are the missions fun?

I would definitely recommend that you download and install jGunZ to its default folder. International GunZ has been so unreliable that it's good to have a more dependable backup.

As for quests, they're a bit weak. If you're curious, then by all means, try out a quest server, but set your expectations low before hopping into a Quest game.

I installed gunz just fine last week... I grabbed gunz from thier website and let it set for about 3 hours while it downloaded the files (very slow since the updater seems to run on Bitorrent). I was able to login and everything.

I personally like the game, it's simple and you use both swords and guns awesome combo

Seems like alot of trouble. Just how good is this game?
I really like it, but then again, I'm all about unrealistic first-person shooter games. So-called "realism" games (e.g. Counter-Strike, Battlefield 1942) usually don't hold my interest; Unreal Tournament 2004, Natural Selection, and GunZ are faves of mine.

Well im gonna give it a shot. I'm downloading it right now... at 800 B/s :|

Seems BitTorrent always comes out like this for me... DL: 1KB/s UL: 15KB/s. Maybe people are using bandwidth cappers or something. *shrug*
