Alright -- time to gauge interest. If you play guitar, list:

~ What type of guitar(s) you have
~ What model of guitar(s) you have
~ What favorite songs you enjoy playing
~ Whether you prefer tabs or chords
~ How long you've been playing

For me:

~ I own one acoustic and one electric
~ Acoustic: Alvarez RD8. Electric: Squier [by Fender] Stratocaster (basically a regular Strat, but lower-grade for newbs)
~ Faves:
~ ~ It Ends Tonight by All-American Rejects
~ ~ Grace and Love by Kutless
~ ~ All the Same by Sick Puppies
~ ~ (I also play at the local Awana program over the fall and winter, so I know a bunch of Sunday-school-type songs :p)
~ For now I prefer chords over tabs, but I'm just now getting into the "notes" aspect of playing guitar, as opposed to straight chords.
~ I've been playing guitar seriously for a little over a year.

Bonus: sometime soon I'll upload a recording of me playing. I have an adapter that lets me plug my electric into my Mac, so I can record via GarageBand.

I currently only have my electric and an acoustic.

The electric is a Fender Stratocaster American Standard version ( 3 tone Sunburst)

The acoustic I have is an old Ibanez, that I actually installed a pickup on from and old Hollowbody Electric I USED to have, lol. Did a Pete Townsend with that one, doh. It was an old Harmony Rocket Elec, Hollowbody. I kind of miss it.

I hope to pick up a Telecaster one day soon, not overly a huge fan of Gibsons though , nice tone but too stinkin heavy, lol.

As for favorite songs.. thats tough to decide. Off the top of my head

I would go with Little Wing by Jimmy Hendrix as one of them.
Sweet Home Alabama is a fun tune by Lynrd Skynrd
The house is a Rockin by Stevie Ray Vaughan
Used to play along with a few Pink Floyd songs when jamming alone.
Of course MANY others as well.

And mainly just some good old 12 bar blues, some rockin stuff some melow.

I dont read music. tabs , Im self taught and I play by ear, actually makes me "feel" the music more :)

I have been playing for erm... lets see now, roughly around 20 years maybe abit longer.

If youre interested in any learning cd's or whatever, let me know. I have quite a few that ive used for learning some new licks, chords, rythyms etc.

Also, a bit of advice for ya. Make sure you are SOLID in rythym before venturing forth into any "leads" stuff. It will help you when you DO get into doing leads. Pm me on AIM or ICQ sometime for some guitar talk if you like. If im not online pm me here and ill fire it up :)

~ What favorite songs you enjoy playing: Uh. I don't know any yet
~ Whether you prefer tabs or chords: Huh?
~ How long you've been playing: About a month. I just started formal lessons a few days ago. It's been 15 years since I did anything even related to music, aside from singing (poorly) in the car. I'm starting over, basically.

I've got two Ibanez guitars -- one electric and one accoustic. I don't know the models though. I enjoy playing classical music, as well as more complex finger picking pieces. Tabs all the way. I've been playing since I was 10, but I've slacked off as of late in pursuit of writing.
