Guild Wars April 15-17 Beta Weekend Event

Tek7 (Legacy)

CGA & ToJ President
If you are attending this weekend's Guild Wars Beta Event, please post your character name and other relevant information to help others in the community join you in-game. (I'm a n00b to Guild Wars, so I don't know exactly what information you'll need to post to get together with other Christian gamers during the event.)

I'll be posting my character name tomorrow, as soon as I can get into the game. ^^

scratch that, i want to participate in the beta but i need an invitation cause i just preordered the game but i doubt i will get my pre order package tomorrow =x

Okay. I'm level 4 and resting in Ascalon City. I've heard something about a "change" after returning to Sir Tydus at level 3, but I was hoping someone could give me a few more details before I venture out? From what I understand, there's no going back after accepting Tydus' next mission.

Yes, after you decide it is time to "join the academy" you are sent thru a quick pvp with whoever they throw together that is joining at the same time, then some grawl killing I think (can't recall for sure), and you get to see a mini movie about what happens to your dear greenhilled country while you are gone in the academy... then you are plopped into the ruined Ascalon. You are not allowed to go back in time to the beautiful green hills and trees, and that little cutie Gwen.

I actually stayed in the preseared Ascalon until level 8 or 9, doing all the quests I could and exploring everything. But it is up to each person to decide when it is time for them to "leave the nest". :)

Well, I'm out of the nest now...and only hours before the Beta Weekend Event ends. ;_;

Still, it was fun to play for a weekend and get a feel for the game. I doubt that I'll ever return to Guild Wars after this evening, but only time will tell. It was a pleasure to play while I could.

I'll be spending a few hours this week to help establish Tribe of Judah's Guild Wars chapter. Look for more news coming soon to the ToJ news page!
