GUILD OF THE WEEK

I have a dream.
So do I. Let's make Guild of the Week and make Christian guilds stick out from the crowd.
How do we do this?
Well looking at the former GotW's, I've determined that we all have to be extremely similar (well Christianity should pass for that) and we have to do something spectacular because ANet doesn't want to ask about the little guilds who aren't amazing and whatnot...
I'll nominate SoE but you'll have to take over a major town or win the hall of heroes a large number of times... perhaps defeating CC in the hall a few times will get you up there if i nominate you :P

also we can ALL nominate SoE in order to make them think "hey maybe this guild has a lot of people going for it"

Requirements

The following are requirements for consideration as a Guild of the Week:

A Guild Website — the site must be updated at least twice a month, with either Guild Wars news or guild news in general.

A good standing with the community — (guilds that are active on fansites, submitting articles, etc.)

At least 12 members for a PvP oriented guild, 25 for a Cooperative/Social guild.

An established in-game presence: Guilds must have both their cape, and guild hall.

Supplementary Qualifiers

The following are additional factors that will be considered in assessing a candidate guild:

A Guild Forum or other means of conversing — such as a chat room, Ventrilo, or TeamSpeak server.

A good standing on the ladder — (ranked #300 and above).

Recognition for having made a unique or original contribution to the Guild Wars community.

A mature and positive attitude. No inappropriate Guild names or tags, and no inappropriate character names.

I'm totally willing to set aside some time in my day to make this happen!... but we gotta get our guild rank higher... lol

Yeah GvG is rough right now we do not have enough PvPers to make this happen atm! We have 2 PvP nights right now but the turn out has not been very good ast few weeks my goal was to win in Hall and than focus on GvG. Maybe we should switch the focus and Do GvG when we have 8 players and HoH when we only have 4 or more.

I've already submitted us for GotW once every week for the past few weeks. Obviously, nothing yet.

do you have the most awesome stories about your amazing experience that could ever be told for your submissions? you have to remember that ANet only cares about the spectacular.

While some of these qualifiers are more important than others, guilds are not expected to meet every single one of the Supplemental Qualifiers in order to be considered as a potential Guild of the Week. For example, a guild that focuses on cooperative gameplay may not hold a position on the Guild Wars Ladder. This does not mean that the guild cannot be featured in a GotW article.
This page is the source of my information.

and i need derk's email address in order to submit an acceptable entry form...............

i dont think that the guild has to do anything substancial to be a GotW. Like these guys that were this weeks guild has held halls forever, dont do free runs to anyone, dont farm for a billzion hours a day, or hold any city. They do do something that stands them apart from the others and we do that too. If you guys are still submitting this for the GotW i would like to see what you guys are filling out and maybe this could be more then a 1 man show and the guild can decide on what they would like to be shown as, or possibly to tell someone something they overlooked and/or missed.

another thing, they say that our website has to be updated every two weeks as a requirement, and no disrespect to whoever runs that (i think Astro) but it still has that we are an 8 guild alliance with FoG, HOLY, and all the other guilds in our alliance. And it has many other things way outdated.

What if we got everone to submit something......and everyone's friends, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's......you know how these things go.

...and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's, and their friend's...

um why is "friend's" in the posessive form?
it should be plural

Also I'm sure if we got 20 people to apply with good, valid applications stressing the fact that we're a social Christian guild yes that's Christian we believe in Christ then they might be interested.
