Graphic Editors

Fellow Americans. I come to you with a problem today, begging you for your help. It is a problem that goes beyond belief. It is one that must be answered, at all costs....

Actually, all I need is for someone to suggest a nice graphic editor. I use Irfanview, which I think is great, but I need a better program, one with more graphic capabilities.

Does anyone know of one?

Photoshop is the daddy... if your lucky like me you can pick a copy up free with a scanner for under $100.. where as the retail PS elements is more than that...

PS 7 is much more than that and so far i havent really noticed any major differences.
 
One guy I talked to said he used Shareaza to download Paint Sho Pro fo free.

Is there any other programs beside Photoshop that you would recommend?

Not for 2D.. i can do just about everything with it.. You might want to get a load of 3rd party plugins to get the desired effects you want.. (eye candy, flaming pear, KPT etc..)

You might also want a screen grabber....

Other than that i cant think what you might need.

Btw, I found another shareware graphics program that doesn't expire, called PicMaster. It has tons of filters and other goodies. Tucows gave it a 5 star rating. You can download it here.

Please someone explain the evil Gimp code to me please.
