Howdy,

My wife and I have been exploring Glitch since it came out earlier this week. If you are interested in a casual f2p "mmo", you might enjoy it. I find it to be a pleasant distraction and have not dropped a dime. Very pretty artwork throughout.

Feel free to send me a friend request if you get on. My glitch's name is Jabberrwocky (notice the two r's).

I'm not gonna lie. If I saw the words "casual free-to-play MMO" linked together, I wouldn't bother reading on. Nothing personal. If you like casual free-to-play MMOs, then enjoy them in good health. But they're not my thing.

But (and that is a very important but) Keita Takahashi, best known as the creator of Katamari Damacy, joined Team Speak, the team behind Glitch, in July 2011.

And I <3 Katamari Damacy.

EDIT: My Glitch character name is Tek7.

This game is surprisingly very addictive. I am not sure what I am supposed to be doing, but i just keep following the quest line and spending lots of currency. I am level 9 now and just finished a bunch of red tape to get my bureaucratic papers. Now I can ride the subway and buy a house apparently. Crafting seems to be like 50% of the game. Tons to craft. Learning skills is time based and you do it offline via the website, you do the auctions this way too.

Ok this is just goofy enough to be fun. Milking butterflies? Maybe I can even talk my other half into this one. And ya only get one guess as to my in game name. About 20 mins so far, and I think I am hooked.

Haha totally! Milking butterflies is kinda what sold it for me as well. Need flour? Squeeze a chicken for grain! The further you get, its only more wacky and fun-satisfying.

The offline skills is whats really neat. I love getting an email saying my one skill is done and in a few clicks I have another one learning and I am back to work.

okay this is brilliant - i can play during random times and still work on skills and click stuff as a minor distraction during work hours = winning

haha exactly! Of course what was planned as a minor distraction this morning, became a 20 min journey across the map because I just HAD to finish my teleport quest.

so... i have a house and i have decent money but not sure what else to do now...

Hmmm no house, no decent money here, at level 4 and just building a skill base. Now if I could only get my hands on a meditation orb, and more storage space.
