Apparently if you type /getdown during battle, it will keep interrupting the NPC's targeting toward you.

This guys tried it on a champion, not sure about any other NPC though

That got fixed in the last major update I think.

Yeah it really worked. It was patched 3 weeks ago and no longer works.
