Alot of talk has gone on and I need more information from the guild. Also the 12/15 run will be the last official run of this year.

With that being said here are four questions I need to ask. This will be a multi-vote option, but I ask that for questions 3 & 4 you only vote for one of them. For questions 1 & 2, if you do not want to change then do not put a check in the box.

We will start with the easiest questions and work our way down.
  1. Move run to 6:00 pm server (currently 7:15 pm)?
  2. Change length to 2 hours (currently 3hrs)
  3. Make the run a "Raid"?
  4. Leave the run as a Guild fun run.

Some people have expressed a concern that the run starts a little late for EST players. Do we want to move it up an hour?

Also it has been mentioned that 3hrs are to long. Change it to 2hrs?

Lastly and most difficult, do we make this a real raid? With that being said understand what I mean by this.

A raid is not only having a group larger then 5 people. It is also a way of doing things. Loot would be DKP, but still follow www.wow-loot.com for guidance. This run will be progression based. Invites will no longer be guild first. It will be open to the SGA and will be based on party make up.

I like the way we do business.

My votes went for moving the time block back an hour and keeping it a guild based fun run.

Time because I am one of those East Coast folks that are using sticks to keep their heads up at 1am. The 3 hour block is about what is needed to have an enjoyable time on a run. Anything less and you feel like you need to do more due to time spent recovering from wipes or time spent waiting for folks to show up.

I am pretty anti DKP and have had 8ish years gaming exp. to have touched on all forms of it enough to know it does not work anywhere near as well as our Be Nice(tm) policy. And, things that are kept in house don't permit the option for outside animosity.

As someone who has used DKP quite alot, I'm pro-DKP. Having said that, I definitely agree with Lynus -- No DKP system I know works as well as our Be Nice(tm) policy, as long as we act in a Nice manner.

Problem is when we get people on runs who are not acting in a Nice manner. (I am NOT talking about ANYone in particular) Not acting in a Nice manner can happen to everyone (read: Neirai) on occaision, it is just a that-kinda-sucks part of life. If we open the guild runs up to the public, however, our chances of encountering Not Nice behavior become much higher.

Personnally, I vote for #1, #4, and Neirai's special #Z option: keep it 3 hours.

(incase I missed with my numbers, that is: Start at 6:00, go for three hours, keep it guild-oriented like before although of course allow our friends to come along)

I was kinda torn on this...due to supper and chores and baby watching 7 works far better for me than 6 server time....I think I could manage 6:30 server time but I would always be late for runs that started at 6. I voted for a 2hr run, but really I don't care...I'm happy to be spending time with guildies for whatever duration I can.

BTW - I can't make Friday's run...the kids (7 of the 8) have various commitments in our church's Christmas concert over this next weekend (4 performances..I have a couple in the choir, one shepherd, three stable animals and one babysitter) I need to be there because even our youngest 3 (5yo, almost 4yo and almost 2yo) are in it.

'Tis the season and I won't be able to attend this Friday night along with Zennen.

I am an favour of this being a fun time and agree with Lynus that 2 hours is probably going to be just shy of making it fun. 6 PM is probably pushing it for my family supper time, but I am also ok with a 6:30 start. Anyone really pushing for gear can join a SGA run with that focus.

Although its been awhile since I ran ZG I plan on trying to start up again come January. That being said I vote to keep the starting time the same. 9:15 is perfect for me out here on the East Coast and any earlier would mean I had no chance to attend. I moved to a later time zone server so runs would start later :)

The earlier starting time would mean that I would not be able to go at all. Here, the current start time is 8, which is just pushing being able to go for me (kids in bed etc.). Of course, I am not the most regular attender (I go on Tierc usually) so rate my response pretty low.

Also, I love the friendly loot atmosphere. There are a couple times I may have gotten better loot in another system but.... I don't care. To me its more about having fun anyway in this run.

Thanks for reading *grin*
