Proverbs 28:19 (KJV)
"He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough."
In the current economy there are a lot of people worried about having enough bread these days, and unfortunately also no shortage of not-so-solid 'business opportunities' being promoted to take advantage of people's fears. But God assures us that if we till our own land and not follow after vanity we will have plenty of what we need.
Some prayer and counsel may be needed to truly discern what our land to till is in God's eyes now in a time and place where physical land ownership isn't the primary means of self-sustenance anymore, but He has a field for everyone and certainly won't let His promise go unfulfilled.
