Friday, February 25, UW event - again

I'm assuming some of the usual suspects will be around too - Mage - Fire - Blue - Ursen - Abba - RyanB - Kyrel - and others. Whether they want to have another go at UW is yet to be seen. I haven't talked to many people about it this week.

Should be enough for at least one team if not two.
 
Talked to Orry on IM today, so we should at least have someone comfortable with leading a second team...so we are a go.
 
I may come, I may not. Fire and I were planning a Hero oriented Urgoz trip tonight for the Kurzick points, but she has said she may not be available tonight so who knows.

I'm always interested in uw but I am getting discouraged with our teams failing week after week. What are we doing wrong? I'd also like to bring my rit but it seems that we have too many rits showing up each trip and so I always end up switching.

Hey, Ugoz Warren = UW, too. :)

This is really very much what it was like when we first started doing UW way back in the day - must've failed a dozen times before we really learned the ins and outs of each quests. When we started coming recently was the first I'd really done a whole run since Dhuum was added, since I went afk a year. We really did fail in every way possible to learn what didn't work.

I think it's mostly been a combination of not knowing the quests well enough or not communicating that. We failed two weeks ago on Unwanted Guests due to no one quite understanding the Aatxe were immune and everyone panicking. Last week we failed on Imprisoned Spirits the first run being down a monk and I dropped, and second run at the same place because a skeleton died.

As far as rits go, we don't have too many Rits...we just have too many SoS. Could have 2 rit spirit spam duo like:

or a DwG bar, maybe /E for GoLE. We could have a whole team of rits if we desired.

Able to put splinter on any other barragers, provide a nice spike on groups, etc. I'd put in Technobabble for EBSoH, given the area and that someone else would have it.

Question: do you have to do the Underworld in HM to get credit in the HoM?
 
By the way, had a blast healing for team 2 on the 25th! Now that I'm getting more comfortable with healing I'm definitely feeling more confident about going into the harder areas with a well-behaving team.

I tried to heal for a PuG in DoA and couldn't get the tank to stay in range to save my life (or his).

You guys behaved very well though. Had a blast! Looking forward to future trips (and maybe not always healing too).
