What fraternity?
Any one. I'm just curious to see who's in one, which one, and why.
If you count living in dorms as a fraternity then, yes, other wise I am not.
For the most part I didn't join one because it drops you into a rather pressured environment against my morals.
So I see Oklahoma hasn't changed in the three years I've been gone. All the actual fraternities at my university are either shrines of alcoholism and date rape or organizations dedicated to cronyism... sort of analogous to a college student trade union.
We had to do a TON of community service in order to remain in the group, so we didn't have a lot of time to get in trouble.![]()
Trouble doesn't take time, all it takes is a slip and your headed down a very steep slope :\
True. I guess I should clarify... our group had different priorities than most of the other sororities, it was more about helping others/doing charity work/being positive members of the community rather than what parties we were going to go to on the weekends. Some girls joined because they thought we'd be the same as the other sororities, but they usually didn't last too long.
Again, not saying all sororities are like that, but on my particular campus, that was the main theme of the other groups.
lol, I was in 4-H. Some of those kids were WILD. And you're right, you didn't mess with any one of them, or else you had the wrath of 50 cornbread-and-beans-fed, steer-ropin', cow-brandin' cowboys to contend with. The good thing was that as a female, it was like having a ton of older brothers. If a guy started messing with a girl, he had the other guys to deal with, and it wasn't pretty.
