Is there a way to exclude certain sub forum groups when I hit the new posts button at top?

I don't play LoE but every time I stop by to check in on what's going on, I have to wade thru 90% LoE posts to find the stuff I'm looking for. Nothing against those who play LoE. They seem to be the most active group here. But sometimes I miss other posts because of the number of LoE posts there are.
 
[LoE] Legacy of Elijah, is our ToJ guild in Guild Wars 2. For me, seeing all the [LoE] activity is rockin my world since activity for GW1 had plummeted on the forums. ^_^

You can make a custom advanced search. You can highlight every forum except LoE. Then book mark the search.
 
I subscribe to the forums I want to see. Then I have a bookmark in my browser at www.cgalliance.org/forums/usercp.php - only the forums I'm interested in show up.

From time to time I check out all the others, but mostly just the dozen or so I follow.
 
I guess you just need to repent of your ways and join us Wolfeman!

Wolfe........what you need to do is this.......first hit "new posts" and see whatever you want to see. Before you log out or leave the forums go back and make sure you're on the page with all of the forum catagories.....then scroll to the bottom of the page and hit "mark all forums read" This way it clears out anything you've not read and they will not show up on the "next" "new posts search unless they've had more replies. This should at least help clear some of the threads out for you.

Also I agree with the rest of the bunch......come and play with us.......I'm finally having fun gaming again.
 
Every time I check the forums I hit new posts. I then open in a new tab any thread I'm interested in reading. Finally, I hit the mark forums read button and read what I've opened. My issue is the fact that 8 or 9 out of 10 threads are LoE related and since I have neither the time nor the money to play, threads like "whats up with my mage" just don't interest me. Unfortunately, from time to time I miss threads I really would like to read because I skim over the list too fast.

I have nothing against LoE and I'm glad ya'll are so busy. I'm a bit jealous actually. I'd love to play and get involved but just can't afford it time or money wise. But ya'll do post up a storm.
 
Aside from what Abba and others have said, I think you'll have to wait for Tek or Lloren to post here to get a definitive answer, if that is possible.

But in the mean time, this thread is making me happy ^_^

I don't know of such a feature as Wolfeman is asking for, but maybe Lloren will.
