I'm back guys, the vacation was fun despite the circumstances (with my dad being diagnosed with cancer).
My family ended up coming down to Tennessee (Dale Hollow Lake), and came out boating with us for two days last week, and it was a blessing. It was a good time for everyone to hang out and forget about the current situation.
I sat down and talked with my dad and got some things out in the open. He is doing very well, and is staying positive. I appreciate everyone who has and will be praying for him. His surgery is scheduled a week from today - August 11. Please remember him in your prayers that day.

I have been away - my dad was diagnosed with cancer and he had his surgery last Monday. They released him yesterday, which is a miracle in itself. He is doing well, and I want to thank those of you who expressed concern and prayed for my dad.
I don't know if you guys even heard, because I posted it in the prayers/praise reports thread - but that doesn't seem to exist anymore. Not sure who or what happened to it...
