For Deer Hunters

its amazing what any animal is capable of when threatened. Story (truth uncertain) from my high school science teacher of 2 kids trying to catch a rabbit and they managed to corner it in a grain bin. They cleverly planned their pincer attack and indeed one kid managed to grab the rabbit by the ears. However, rabbits have very strong hind legs and those legs actually have some sharp claws/nails at the end of them. Rabbit kicked out, gashing a pretty significant wound across the kids stomach.

ROFL - because of the possibility of the story it is even funnier! Wildlife, no matter how cute, are very dangerous in simular situations. Do not ever underestimate their strength and fiestiness. And a wounded animal is even more dangerous!

There is a hunting sport where the hunter tries to kill a boar - a wild pig often weighing well over 300 lbs - with a KNIFE. To me, that is more than case of not thinking and a sign of credible brain injury and mental incompitence! I do not mind using something that weights a fraction of a knife, like about 125 to 165 grains, but I do insist it leave the barrell at over 900 fps (1911 Colt) and preferably closer to 3,000 fps (like my 243 WSSM).
