I have owned two Saturns in my life, and they are owned by GM. I have never had to do any large repairs on either of the Saturns. So I like Saturns a whole lot, so I am biased towards them.

AMF makes bowling type equipment. They owned Harley for a while, they also built snowmobiles back during the 70's. (Yes I am that old!!)

AMC was maybe what you are thinking about...(aka Rambler).
American Motor Company(deceased after Chrysler bought them)..made the infamous Gremlin..and the worlds only vehicle which doubled as a fish bowl ..the Pacer (Wayne's World)
And I also owned one of these... Javelin...right out of High School..

Ford, call it a family/church bias. Abot 60% of the people I know have jobs at ford, and with the world HQ right near me in Dearborn, Michigan, well GM has there world HQ in detroit also, lol, it kind of happens.
