I haven't heard of Mainstream, but Eastwest is purty good. Have been enjoying Big Dismal and some of FM Static's stuff.

[edit] lol stormy, no mainstream isnt a band, lol i was making th point that more christian music is on mainstream stations

Yeh i know Jester. In this thread there was a direct quote from a band member saying that the reference in that song has nothing to do with what they believe at all and that they didnt want to be classified as christian.

sad really

Well the reply is ambiguous at best but i guess they could be christians, if they are they arent letting ppl know in case it damages sales though

Quote[/b] ]It's a strange thing. I just don't want to have to switch hats, because that would be wrong and that would mean that I wasn't who I really am. I can't deny my belief because that would mean that I have no belief. Hopefully people will take the songs for what they are; they're just songs. You know, it feels great to share a song with somebody or to have that exchange of energy with a person or a group of people. That moment when you write a song--there's a fire in your belly, and that's what keeps you coming back.

Quote[/b] ]Hey, what's up with your message board and everybody thinking your a Christian rock band?
Because, ya know it's crazy, you say Jesus Christ in a song and now your a Bible beater, ya know, I mean not to say that we don't believe in God, but we're not Stripper, throwing out Bibles at our shows. I guess we're spiritual people but no more than probably most of America. We're not going to church on our days off
I thought I was missing something, I said Christian, they're not
No, a lot of people think that I guess because it says Jesus Christ in IMPRINT, ya know, and it's kind of a deep song about life and death or whatever, I guess it's not really about life and death but.....

DREAM THEATER!!!!!!!!!

DREAM THEATER!!!!!!!!!!!

Othen than them, I like Extol, Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Opeth, Symphony X, Megadeth, Rush, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Camel, Iron Maiden, Quo Vadis, and Sigur Ros, among others.

Basically anything with a jam in it. Mostly Christian artists, but the occasional secular artist catches my attention (an example right now would be Evanesence - I'm thinking of getting their CD). Right now I'm on a bit of a Steven Curtis Chapman fix (acoustic guitars!), but I like Audio A, Delirious, dc Talk, Switchfoot, Avalon, Mark Schultz, etc. As I said, I can basically listen to anything (the exception would be some forms of rap or slow, country-ish rock) - just as long as it has a good beat. Good lyrics are a major plus, though.
