You have to get this game. It's unbelievable! If you're waiting for HL2 to come out, wait no more! It's just an all around fun game, with amazing graphics and AI. The maps/worlds are HUGE and you can go and do anything anywhere.

I hope Half-Life 2 can at least come close to this new game...
 
I have to say, I was fairly impressed with the demo. When a frontal assault of the island doesn't work, steal a boat and sneak around the back of the island

Far Cry pwns, Ive yet to here anything less then amazing about it. While I dont think it will surpass HL2 and Doom3, itll be right up there with them.
 
I already hear "Game of the Year"...we'll see what Doom3 and HL2 dish out...I'm personally sick of waiting for HL2.
 
bought far cry.. didnt like it at all.. the levels look nice but theres some serious things wrong with the single player mode.

Ah well now i have a special edition farcry backpack i dunno what to do with..
 
An objective analysis of the system requirements suggests that the game will not run well on my system.

I played the demo and I have to say that I really do not like the gunfire graphics.
I mean, you can't see where your bullets are going, and if you've hit the enemy or not. Also, is the mp5 supposed to be super quiet? That was weird..

Demo was great plan on buying it in the near future, hows the multiplayer havent heard a hole lot about it?

So many great looking FPS this year Half Life 2, Doom 3, Stalker, and Farcry going to be hard to pick the best.

Far Cry so far is the GOTY. We'll see what happens when Doom 3 and HL2 come out.

I don't personally care about what the gunfire looks like...I've actually never paid attention to it. I was so immersed in the actual game to notice...

The MP5 was quiet, which is the way it's actually supposed to be. You've obviously been playing too much CS! You know that you've hit the enemy when they fall down and DIE! You didn't hit them if they've killed you, or they're still shooting at you...

I've also never had any problems with the single player. What kind of problems you having, Rizz? I've never played the MP part, but plan to check it out.

It is an amazing game. I am just about to finish (volcano level) it and I have been impressed. Your box has to produce some serious jam to really enjoy this game. Won't likely do the multiplayer thing with it.
 
Take a look at your configuration/bindings...I have mine set to zoom when I right click...and use the scroll button on my mouse to actually zoom in and out.
