OK, I jumped online and played a little before work this morning. Here are a few of the things I've noticed.

New pets - Tiger, White Tiger

New warrior skill (used by tree creature) - "None Shall Pass!" - would have been better if it was used by "Black Night"

I'll have to edit once I play some more tonight.
 
If they have tigers for the oriental theme of the continent, maybe they'll have panda bears!! I'd love to see a pet panda. I'll check it out on my lunch break.
 
You can charm Cranes. I really enjoy the oriental Unicorns (Krin). The monsters get Pets now! On the Jade Sea you can charm Crabs, mine is named Drawn Butter (Reef Walkers). First question about the Laws of Nature on this new continent.....I just found a waterfall dumping water into the Jade Sea, so the question is where does the water go when it hits the jade???

New Ranger skills:
Run as One - you and pet move 25% faster
Poisonious Bite - pet poisons target for X seconds
Tranquiliity - Spells cast by creatures in its range expire 22% faster

How cool! I made a character before work, but I didn't have time to see more than the marketplace.

I made a Ritualist...bet you can guess my secondary! ;)
 
oops i forgot about this (I blame WoW)...thanks to DZwart I have an access key for the preview. Downloading now hope to see you guys online :).

One question...I don't have an accout, so i'll need to set one up. Do they ask for cc info for the preview? cause I don't wanna provide them with one atm.
 
No credit card info, just create an account with the preview key, u'll be good to go.

I took a ton of screen shots, i'm uploading 400megs of screenies as I post this to my blog.... And more to come when I play again tonight.
 
I'm not sure, but you probably want to create a role playing. Not sure if its restricted to role only :confused:
 
i just created a pvp one (by the time i read ur post)...I must say i like the starting music and the character customization is cool...lol and now its downloading again (Isles of Nameless). So I guess i'll be in game soon hopefully hehe. I've named my character "Kayla Star" pyro something type.

Anyway, all the women in this Factions upgrade thing are a bit, well... *is very embarassed, cheeks turn red* they are... uh... you know... *cough* anyway it doesn't help when people dance in their underwear ALL THE STINKIN' TIME! I think I'll stick to PvP so I don't see as much o' that
 
so how exactly do i meet up with some of you? all i keep getting are pvp instances after instances with npcs
 
In game, hit "N" to open your friends window. There is a text field at the top. Enter character names from our signatures here in the forums. It will show you player status. You only need to enter one character name because it is all account based.

The icon in front of each of the names will offer options when you click on them, including send a whisper.

If you create a PvP character, you can only do PvP/GvG. If you want to adventure, create a Roleplaying character. Myself, I've been doing PvE (Roleplaying) with Factions. "Lady Adraea"-Ritualist/Mesmer (of course Mesmer!).

If I want PvP, I'm just using Maid Mirawyn; Paul & I are low on slots!

Just don't look! :)

I think the Ritualist female dance is interesting. Some parts are really well done (like the hip hits and hip twists, and then the flip), but for the rest of it the body has joints in the wrong places! Which is rather humorous.

Now the ritualist male.... :confused: :confused: What were they thinking?
