Seriously though, does this guy actually pull any weight? If he endorses something, do people listen? (I mean outside of the hardcore peeps, who run the most suped up rigs but play games with all the settings turned off)
On another note, I saw some UT2003 highlight vid a while back, and in the beginning there was an (alleged) CNN interview w/ the Fatal one. I say "alleged" 'cuz it had Fatal1ty serving over in the Iraq war. Seems to me that for a guy who had all these thousands/millions of dollars in sponsors, heading off to Iraq into real world danger would be the last thing on his mind.
Any one know anything about that? Was it legit or was it doctored up?
......
Ooop, nevermind, I just read the thread on the video over on
ownage and it was just a soldier in Iraq who *looked* like Fatal1ty. Anyways, whoever the real guy was, he had some pretty questionable things to say in the vid.
Anyways, back on topic, "celebrity video game players". On one hand I'm like "yea ok, bound to happen" and I guess it brings a little legitamacy to the whole thing. But on the other, when people start comparing these guys to actual atheletes (Jordan, Gretzky)... I just shake my head. Does this guy really deserve all the hype?
