My parents are buying my sister a new computer which is almost as good as mine for christmas for about half the money that I spent in combination with my parents on mine. ARGH! I'm beginning to feel threatened. I need security as the alpha-computer holder in my household.

Im gonna buy an ultimate comp sometime next year...64 bit athlon...2 gig ram...ati 9800 pro...250 gig hd...

Everything just came in one snag though the front panel of the case was snapped off and all the connectors broken could not be easily fixed contacted FedEx Yelled at them for a bit then called Newegg.com and they should be shipping me a new one shortly so it will be a few more days.

Exo I just built a comp in August with almost the identical specs..great choice with the Asus board...I also used Newegg...my Videa Card was defective and they gave me a refund no problem, so I was very pleased with that....
Let me just assure you that thing is going to purr Like a kitten on those games..now you can finally play a
3 vs 3 WC3 game sometime

congratulations!
BTW, cannot wait for World of Warcraft, we'l have to hook up on that!

hmm... amazingly I also just built almost the exact same pc.

only difference that I see is I used the DFI Lanparty motherboard and have 768MB Ram.

we even have the same video card (if you got the 256mb).

eerie.

exo-powa!

Sadly that is only the 128mb version, but I plan to upgrade to a 9800pro or a mid-range next gen card when the next generation cards are released. Also gonna throw in another 512 DDR 3200 so I can get the dual ram bonus. The motherboard is the ASUS 865PE P4P800.

The funny thing on the case was it was visibly beaten after it reached Fed Ex, for example their is a sticker from fedex on the back and it has been kicked inward and busted some of the packaging. Also 3 other tears on the box, they are lucky I was not here when it got signed for.

Agh I can get the thing to boot to bios but when ever I try to boot an OS it says insert a proper boot disk and try again.

Ive tried numerous boot disks and nothing seems to work It says Put in boot disk and hit any key or reset computer and change your boot settings. I hear my cd/floppy spinning but it never reads them. Thinking it may be a HD issue it has been acting a bit strange, I may test it by putting my old hd into it and seeing if it boots.
