Everquest II

I no longer play WoW (but do maintain an account, for whatever reason I don't know) but play EQ2 quite heavily. Is there a CGA for EQ2?

There is not, sadly. We have a couple that play on the Bazaar server and I have a 80 Brigand on the Venekor PvP server but that is about it AFAIK.

Personally, EQ2 was one of my favorite of all MMOS but I found myself drawn to playing with Christian friends more then a game with random peeps.

My husband and I play on the Bazaar server pretty much full time since we're both disabled and mostly housebound so that's where we both work and witness to others. We're not really able to move off the server since it's also a source of income to us, although transfers here are free but a one-way trip since characters can never be let off again with it being an exchange server.

Ewoks assessment is pretty good I think. The game itself is one of the best and most enjoyable I've ever played, but the playerbase is one of the most difficult to be around. I'd love to see more Christian presence here in any form and would be happy to help anyway I can.

If a chapter was forming and there were actually active members I would definitely have to consider reactivating my 80 brigand and server xfer to the appropriate place. Man I wonder how much dust has gathered in my Gorrowyn Mansion. I am sure all my house pets have turned the place into a zoo.

I don't really know, but I think it is through legally selling Plat on the 2 "live gamer" servers. You can craft, harvest, farm or play the AH for plat then legally sell it. Simple as that..

I was laid off my job, and any extra income would be welcome, what kind of money can you make, and how? ...like farming gold or items or something? ...then selling them on like an AH or something?

The Bazaar server (and Vox if you're into PvP) are both Exchange-enabled, which means you can upload any coin, tradeable item, or character through the ingame mailbox to put up for sale on the official auction site at https://exchange.livegamer.com/eqii/. This auction site is really nice in that the company handles all the payment and delivery end automatically so you don't have to deal with buyers directly, and there's no listing fees, only a 10% commission fee that's deducted from the buyer's payment at the time of sale.

I make about $1/hour with mid-level characters, but one would probably do quite a bit better with fully developed characters. Basically just figure the amount of plat you can make per day times the current going real-dollar rate which right now is around 40cents per. Some people who have a lot more computing power and personal coordination than I do manage to run a full 6-man party on their own to farm Masters to sell and make quite a bit that way. Most likely it's not going to be able to pay a wage you can live on, but it's a fun way to get some supplemental income in your free time if you have no better options.

Wow! It is a full on auction house outside of the game and for real $USD! That is kinda cool and scary at the same time!

I am really considering this, because I just sit at home all day while my wife is at work, and I could play, and make money at the same time...

I bid on a few copies of the new expansion (which includes the main game and every other expansion as well) and 2 of them sold at $10 on eBay. So you can pick up a copy cheap FYI.

depends what xpacs you have, "Kunark" is truly awesome for 70+ (and the amazing new starting zone) and I hear the last one "Shadow Odyssey" is also fantastic for the 50+ crowd.

Here is what it says on my account:

# Entitlement: Desert of Flames + In-Game Item: Genie Bottle
# Entitlement: Echoes of Faydwer
# Entitlement: Kingdom of Sky
# Entitlement: Rise of Kunark
# Entitlement: The Bloodline Chronicles
# Entitlement: The Fallen Dynasty
# Entitlement: The Splitpaw Saga

The latest expansion didn't raise the level cap so if you have Kunark you're still capable of max level stuff. The expansion added new dungeons and crafting/harvesting content, so if you're really into those things you may want it but it's nothing game-breaking enough to be a necessity.

If either of you do come over feel free to look either me or my husband up. My main is Taigris and his is Felnadir. I'm not capable of much grouping since my characters are crafters, but other than that I'll help you get established as much as I can. My husband currently belongs to a raid guild and is really good at getting groups together and helping people out so you can talk to him if you're interested in that. He also does daily shard runs and between the two of us we can craft both T1 and T2 shard armor.

I have also been saving up for a while to be able to eventually help form a guild and guildhall, and having crafters means I could help level a guild up pretty quickly to unlock its amenities, if we were to have enough accounts between us to get that started. But we should probably wait till we hear about what ToJ is doing since they would be more experienced in that area.
