End game instances

I would be interested in end game instances if

  • An experienced guild would be willing to open a few spots for us to go on.

  • Only with two or three other guilds, learn it all on ourselves.

  • I like getting to 60 and the rerolling, Instances after UBRS don't interest me

I do beleive that DKP got it's name in Dark Age, but I am pretty sure it started in a different form on EQ.

Percy did not have DKP's. The people who ran the Dragon Raids on percy never needed them. But, some of the larger servers did. Percy was actually a meduim server in the end of my time there.

true, towards the end Perci declined quickly it seemed. But in its prime, Perci was right up there every night with Guinevere, Lancelot, and Merlin. But yeah it's strange how even then the big guilds and alliances managed without DKP and there was little to no complaining (at least on any of the many runs that I made). Probably the fact that you could craft an epic level weapon and then get it spellcrafted to your specific need reduced the competition to get the limited "uber" items. The sense that there was something that was nearly as good that could be acquired for a lot less effort and made custom.

Not really trying to hijack the thread at all, but I was curious about how good the drops are in WoW...maybe it's because all my chars are really low lvl still, but I really haven't seen much in the way of drops in this game. Are the best items in the game drops, or merchant items?

Rare random drops or drops off bosses are the best.

At your low level and probably poor state, live off drops DO NOT buy anything except potions, food and drink. That way when you do get to be able to buy stuff you have the funds.

Also take up mining, and either skinning or herbalism. They are all very profitable.

Well, with my NE rogue char I took up skinning and leatherworking since I figured I would be able to save myself a bit of money on armor...but the char I created on the server you guys are on last night is NE druid and I wasn't quite sure the best profession route to take him that would both be profitable financially and benefit in other ways such as the aforementioned armor with my other character...any ideas...and once again..i apologize for hijacking the thread.

i think some guilds used dkps. tho it was limited since the best stuff was crafted(until stupid toa) not drops from raids.
