Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited

I found out about it when I contacted support. I kept getting a declined message for both my debit and credit card and the support guy directed me to a thing in their knowledgebase. It goes for both DDO and LOTRO and is part of their enhanced security since going to Free2Play.

I was basically told I could have someone who lives in the same zip code as my IP pay for it or contact my ISP. It makes me a bit mad as I actually have a founder's Collectors Edition DDO account that is stuck on free mode.

(fixed sig, sorry!)

Sorry to hear that. :( I don't see why Turbine is so restrictive. I mean, as long as they get their money, what does it matter?

No worries. You were far from the only offender on the forums. I just haven't made the effort to actually enforce the signature rules yet. Maybe I'll delegate that at the start of the new year...

It's just an overly paranoid security measure to try to combat RMT companies in Asia an Eastern Eruope. There are better ways to combat them, but Turbine took their policy to an extreme. Oh well. My ISP IP does cycle and if it ever lands in my zipcode I'll renew.

If you (or anyone else) ends up reviving the DDO guild and starts playing again, let me know. Now that I've upgraded from a 160GB hard drive to a 500GB hard drive, I can have more games installed at the same time. When I only had 160GB, I ended up removing every free-to-play MMO (e.g. LoTRO, DDO, Allods Online, etc.).

EDIT: Check this thread and this post for more on how the ToJ DDO guild got its start.

I still play, admittedly on a different server than the ToJ guild, however if I knew people were playing and it would help build interest I could spend some time on Ghallanda(or whatever the spelling is).
