Back in July, when I was looking to scratch the MMO itch, I came across an interesting free-to-play MMO called Dragonica. The game was only available in Europe with an open beta test then "coming soon" to the US.

That open beta started today. You can take a look at Dragonica Online here.

I'm going to wait on running the installer until I install Spybot - Search & Destroy and scan the downloader application first.
 
If anyone downloads and installs this before I do, let me know what you think of the game.

Also let me know if you run into any oddities with the installer that might imply the program is installing spyware or adware.
 
Im already addicted!

The combos are very sweet and require a lot of timing skill. I thought it was a mindless hack n slasher but its actually very tough to pull off the good combos.

While it is very cute and colorful it is wicked cool, the animations are fast n furious and work well.

Grouping was very easy and the instance missions are nice and short with the option to redo on a higher difficulty for better rewards.

Rewards are passed out on a slotmachine like thingy which is interesting, i think I like it, although I have watched a shield go by like 25 times and I have yet to win it.

The tank class has no taunt and the healer has no heals at least for the first 20 lvls so I guess its more of avoid the damage then tank/heal it.

I can see I will be playing this off and on a lot, more so knowing that they will not wipe the characters come launch.

this game is killing me, I got like no work done yesterday! THANKS TEK!

I now have a 15 mage and 15 fighter and a 7 thief and 9 archer...I cant decide which one I like better!

Sorry! :(

But the game is essentially a chibi anime-style MMO brawler. It was pretty much guaranteed that I'd be interested in playing it.
 
Is it just me or does anyone else have the premonition that ewoks will mutate out of this and become some kind of weird creature that tries to eat your brains?
 
Wow this game gets really good as the levels go up. The new areas are increasingly fun and the way they use 3d to bounces around from platform to platform gets very cool.

BUT my word, give us an "ignore" option, the gold spammers are driving me insane.
 
Why is this game addicting? I'm beginning to believe its that little thing that pops up 'x Combos' or something. I'm not happy my mage looks like a girl, but whatever. His name is Pyril. :P
 
Yeah you are on to something. I think I was way to excited when I got a 35hit combo in 1 string of air moves. My record is a 150+ combo.

This game is basically Castle Crashers MMO
