DPS Test Dummies?

My wife and I just started playing and we are still in the human starter area. I am a lvl 11 Engineer and I want to test my DPS with various builds/skills. What's the best way to test DPS? Are there DPS dummies that I can test on?

If you go to the mists, you can get bumped up to level 80 along with all skills and weapons available. They also have 3 test dummies there for the 3 armor types. Click the crossed swords in the menu at the top of your screen and "go to the mists". Make note that you can also use this for other reasons ... it is a quick (and free!) way to get to Lion's Arch, but also you can use it as a pause in your travels. If you click the same button to get out of the mists, you go back to where you are. Oh, and respec on skills is free there, but does not apply outside the mists.

For example, you're in the middle of adventuring far from a city and your child hurts themselves. It would be dangerous to afk, so you can either log out, or zip off temporarily to the mists.
