Do u believe in excorsism

Do u believe in exorcism my uncle was telling me how he was at his friends place and his friends daughter came out and was talking and suddenly she started talking in toung. She started speaking a hole lot of different languages. And she went all pale then she passed out.
I also watched a show about this priest in NY that did an excorsism on a child, even though it is banned in the catholic church. They also interviewed a priest who used to proform alot of excorsisms but after the vatican banned it he gat upset and told the media that it was because people high up in the vatican were posesed(I can't spell , I know).
At first I thought excorsisms were just made up as a way for the catholic church to make money like with the selling of saints bones and the taking of money with the promis of your loved one going to heaven. But now I'm not sure, There are to many messed up people on this earth. I could be satan(which in hebrew means the choinc to do wrong), or it could just be spirits trying to comunicate with us but we don't understand since maybe they were from a different time.
 
I believe that non believers can be possessed, really bad cases are rare though. As for the the power of calling them out I believe anyone with a stong faith in Jesus and with the power of his name can cast him out. Prayer and fasting may be in order for toughies.
 
I believe that strong believers would be possessed because of their strong faith. Its like my aunt once when these healing priests came over from india to my church we all went up to get blessed at the end and when they touched her and a few other people who have a strong faith they passed out and fell backwards like something u see in a movie. I didn't because I got bored 2 hours into it I went across the street to play streeth fighter. But these priests would go around the room and say something like "There is a person in here that har bad hearing, dno't be afraid stand up" Then they would be like " Jesus has said that he has touched u and u can hear" Something like that. And people used to get cured of stuff, not like the fake stuff that u see on television. These priests get a special calling towards this certain place, and they travel around the world. If I had a little more faith I would go the next time they come and maybe get a new colon. But I think its more mmind over body if u are sick and u think that jesus has come to heal u your mind would cure your body. We as humans have just not been able to control our minds, we use less than 10% of our brains I think. Wow I always seem to go off topic alot.

I think this is called being slayed by the spirit. Its not about being possessed at all. I don't know much about this aspect and unfortunatly, there are alot of false preachers out there playing with this and giving true healings a bad rap.

That is very subjective. First, we do use 100% of our brains. Secondly, some of use don't use our minds full potential. If one was to say that Einstien used 95% of the potential, then the rest of us are using on average 93% of its potential. But, those figures are truly subjective (in otherwords, what ever I choose without supporting evidence because nobody knows what using 100% of the potential or what even using 1% more means as it is not measurable). Which is similiar to you saying that we only use 10%, it is subjective and unsupported.
 
being 'Slayed in the spirit' is an eschatological and doctrinal nightmare.

imo, it's a heresy of the first order, and one should flee from it at any time. While it's not being possessed per se, it's not Biblical nor a work of the Holy Spirit. unfortunately it's taken hold in numerous otherwise good churches, and it has a corrupting influence upon the members and leaders of said churches. the average person uses less than 10. I say it on the discovery channel. Its one of my fav. channels. Last night they had a show about Nostradamis. which was pretty interesting.

I know its not possession but I think u believe that u're being touched by the holy spirith so your body does that, my mom says it all about faith. But it was weird seeing her fall straight backwards.
I know there are alot of fake healers, I think I believe that thes guys actually heal since I see them in church everyday when I was younger. And I think the catholic church has a list of their healings, but they don't take credit for it they say that the holy spirith is working through them. And they don't do it for money. I guess u have to have faith for it to work.

Is there a section that shows u ho to make multiple quotes. I figured out how to do 1 quote.

Totally subjective and just because it was on the discovery channel doesn't mean it is true or fact. It has been my experience that the shows on the discovery channel tend to push non-supported science as fact and many people who watch it assume it is fact without question. Talk about blind faith.

The most interesting thing I found about Nostradamis is that the only way to know what he was talking about is to twist his words to look like some event that happened in our past and in his future. His writtings are so vague that there is no way to understand what he is predicting before any event ever happens.

And with that Slayed in the Spirit thing Kidan, I don't touch it with a ten foot pole. Something has always bothered me about it.
 
I know everything on discovery is not true my fav. show is American choppers but the percentages are right.
Nostradamus about Hittler being the second anti christ. The first was actually Napoleon but thats a long one to explain.

For the northern poles people say its Russia and america, I think its North america and russia. The New land is north America.

Does is still happen today?
Not much changes in the world (loose statment there) so yep it still happens. Travel to the third world and it's more obvious, but it still happens everywhere. Maybe even in your street.

Is it something to worry about?
I think if you are saved that your ok. There are still pressures from the enemy on you though, so beware what you expose yourself too, in your daily living. there are many oppressed christians out there.

THe thing is u could say nostrodamus writings were twisted but u could say the same about what u read in the Bible, to many things can be taken 2 different ways depending on how u read it. For some reason when I read the bible I see it different than what u see it. U can look at all my questions in this religious forum and know that. Look at revelations, I spent a month reading it over and over and got different meanings from it everytime.
 
not to be mean joe the reason why that you may have so many interupts is because you are trying to understand it, while you are yet young, maybe physically or maybe spiritually i do not know. I have read rev about 3 times, each time i have understood the same concepts.

Don't worry, I gaurantee that you will have the day off. Besides, there won't be much else to do on that day. No, not much else to do that day.
 
Well as I told my uncle when he put one of those videos trying to show when the end of the world is going to be. "I don't have time to waste, just give me the date and put this video off. "
I'll be happy if u could give me 2 days notice, I want to be at future shop when it happens. I want to get some free plasma tvs. one for every room in the house. Maybe an IPod or 2. Then its off to the liquor store. I figure if I'm going to be going to hell might as well be wasted and stoned. Make it a special day. Hopefully I can take one of the plasma tvs with me down there. I hope they have digital cable. I enjoy my buffy reruns.:p
 
well we already live in hell, so anything would be better. We have violence and rapists, and murders. Whats the big deal.
