digital camera question

Here is the situation that I have on my hands...

My little sister has a kodak digital camera and a 2 gb sd memory card to go with it. The other day she turned on her camer and got the message that it needed to be formatted before she could use it to take pictures....she didn't format it because she knew that would erase them...so we tried to put the card in our card reader and got the same message...

I tried searcging the internet for some type of data recovery and had no luck...I found one place that lets you view the pictures but when you go to save they charge you....

Any suggestions?

Have you gone to Kodak's support site?

So, you've used the camera, has pictures in the memory card but needs to format to use it...
