Yeah, I don't think I've ever met a Satanist who was anything more than a poser. The more you research into it, the more it looks like the 'vast satanic cults' were an invention of 80s Televangilists to drum up funds and support.

(I'm back, all)

Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons I would regard as cults. Mormons take their "Book of Mormon" and exalt it above the Bible... I'm sure God isn't pleased, in fact, he warns about false prophets etc... go read the Holy Bible!

Oh btw, I don't really know much of Mormonism or anything like that, I just know a little bit from people who come to my door and offer me spam ... ^that's just my personal opinions... I believe they are true:P

Wowzers! Kohael's back!!!!! Cool! We've missed you. I was just telling my wife YESTERDAY that you haven't been around in awhile. Yes, I tell her about this site, and the people.

Well, it seems like the place has been kept up fairly well in my absence... in case anybody' s interested, I'm now a sophmore at a huge university, studying electrical engineering, still Wiccan, too.

Glad to see Mustard and Eon have kept the forces of darkness running in my absence.

Anyway, Mormons. I consider that to be more an internal dispute, but it seems to me that they're more an offshoot sect of Christianity. 'Cult' has somewhat of a different meaning, doesn't it?

Or are we just using that word to describe any religion we don't like?

Have'nt seen you post much Kohael PC these
days, anyway this thread being about Diablo,
I have'nt played Diablo for a long time.
I've been watching the first Harry Potter movie
before because of trying to avoid Legalism.
You might want to read the book of Galatian's
and you might see what Legalism is.

Kohael is BACK!!! ph34R

Studying more, alas. The life of the would-be engineer includes far too little time for parties, and far too much time for Chemistry labs, but ya kinda know that going into it.

Am just getting into Diablo 2. Playing a sorceress, appropriatly enough, and continually getting smacked around. I really need me a fireball spell.

Have not seen Harry Potter. Don't really want to.

Well, it's a little better now that I've got the flamethrower spell, but for a while there it was, 'Run away and turn around and smack giant beastie with a fireball'.

Quote[/b] ]A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.

The followers of such a religion or sect.

A system or community of religious worship and ritual.
The above is the definitions of Cult. Any religion can be classified as a cult. Just in the America's it tends to be fanatical, misrepresentations of a mainstream religion.

Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses are both cults and Sects based upon Christianity. If you want a discussion on their various doctrines and how they vary from traditional Christain doctrines I'll post it up for you, or you could just take my word that they have some definite differences in what they teach and what the Bible says.

Actually, the first Harry Potter movie was a surprisingly well-done, interesting flick that has prompted me to begin "researching" the Harry Potter craze (as well as see the following flicks).
Minus the word "witchcraft" the movie is inoffensive. Trolls, wizardry, magic and bad guys are in it, but hey, who cares after you've seen LOTR?
Ahh. Kohael! Imagine that. I actually haven't seen much of you for a long time.
Yeah the mages are always weak in the start but give em a little time and they're cool.

Ive read all the HP books and saw the first movie (going to by book 5 tomorrow). This whole thing about the books being evil is a bunch nonesense. JK Rowling said herself that she was a Christian. If some ppl can't take a little fantasy then what can they take? Its just a book and some movies get over it lol.

Hrmm...wait. "Everyone! Burn the heretic! Send him to his father below! Satan awaits you, apostate! Burn, burn in hell!" -Jack Brock, pastor

Lol. Yeah it looked interesting. Everyone in our local city that's read the book is whining about the 870-page book's ending. I mean, geez, what a leap. 300, 340, 500, 700, 900 pages?! I expect Book 7 to be at least...uh, at this rate: 1600 pages. Have fun guys.
Yeah I'm starting to research him for fun and he's really overplayed, both in popularity and by the Christian community that detest all things magical.
Burn in hell, John Ronald Reuel: you served Satan with your Christian-allegory fantasy.
Many, many, many Christians act as fools, if not many are, my friends. Those set against Harry Potter with no reason, and those following Jack Brock, are akin to these types.

rofl eon..applause? I've read the HP books, too...though i'm not reading the new one or any new ones (just cuz i dont feel like it)...i LOVE fantasy books..the Wheel of Time series is incredible

My sister told everyone that hermione dies and that harry's leg gets eaten by a wolf demon.  And before hermione dies Vol-err you-know who tells her he is her real father

(Don't worry thats not a spoiler)

It better not be a bloody spoiler - I just bought the #### thing today!

Apparently the next book is a much simpler story to tell, and will therefore be a fair degree smaller than this one. J. K. is, however, not terribly optimistic about finishing the last book in the series in a concise manner - she thinks she'll find it hard to let go.
