Diablo 3 is gona be awesome. Does anyone know what quarter its gona be released in? Anyways, who else besides me is VERY INTERESTED in this game?
Now, gotta say Blizz has some interesting character classes there. They all seem so... hybrid to me. Only one that really carries over from D2 is the barb. Thing is, there is no ranged non magic DPS, and the lines between DPS, support and tank seem so muddled. Nicely done. Only problem is now I'm finding it hard to choose a class
The only worry I have is there are rumors they are going to CUT, not increase the max number of players, further taking away from the MMO feel. Rumors of 4/5 per game, which is just stupid. I enjoy my 8 man dungeon crawls and was hoping for 16 pple.
For those less up to date on classes here are my opinions.
Barbarians are the standard tanks, though they can also be specced to deal nice melee DPS. However I think they are most suited to tanking. Don't really rely heavily on magic.
Monks are the melee DPS, pretty much same role as barb but this one relies on magic, and *speculation* maybe can't tank as well.
Deamon Hunters are the new amazons, but apparently, relies on traps as well? Think it is a assassin/amazon hybrid.
Witch Doctors are I suppose something like necromancers, but with the ability to heal.
Wizzard... here's something I can't really understand. They are supposedly an upgraded version of the sorceress, but now they emphasize more on agility and stealth? Not sure what exactly is going on.
As for me think I'm gona go Deamon Hunter. I like ranged DPS that can hold their own solo, where it's more twitch based. Unlike melee where there ain't much you can do to not die except have a high defense and hp pool. I'm used to evading fire in my javazon while shootin lightning infused stuff

As you can see, even though the max for co-op party size (and presumably game) is set at 4, speculating 5 players, from this gameplay PvP video you can clearly see 4v4 teams. Note that PvP games are different from normal PvM games so it could be ONLY PvP arena that allow more than 4 players.
Crafting is also going to be interesting. Leveling up your smithy gives you more options such as learning better recepes. The economy is going to be dominated by whoever has good blacksmiths working for them...
