Dell + AMD?

Well, I guess it is official, Dell is buying Alienware. The big question is, will Dell carry AMD chips now? Alienware's PCs are offered with either Intel or AMD processors.

Here's the article about it. It makes no mention of whether Dell will start carrying AMD processors but I think it is inevitable now since the Alienware brand name and everything is pretty much staying the same. But since they will now be supplied by Dell, they'll have to carry AMD chips, right?

So will the TV commercials feature Fatal1ty or some other cyberathlete punching that "Dude, you're getting a Dell" guy in the face? I don't mean to imply that I advocate violence against incredibly annoying commercial spokespersons, but that would be one advertisment I wouldn't mind seeing.
 
I heard the "Dude, you're getting a Dell" guy got fired for rollin doobies! Now he's living in a van down by the river!

I think it's nice that Dell is getting smart and picking up a respected gaming PC maker to do their high end PCs. Hopefully Dell doesn't make Alienware put out only Intel chips. That would just stink.
 
Well there goes alienware sales. To all those people who dont like dell. I for one, will not buy either now. Boycot....
 
I don't think Dell will start carrying AMD now that it's acquired AW. AW will probably continue carrying AMD, but not Dell.
