CS Refresh Rate

Cool.. i should try searchin it right after my finals.. lol thanks for your answer J

Current CS graphic set: Open GL 60Hz (i believe) 1024x768. I'll try increasing it to 75Hz which seems to be max of mine.. probably cuz monitors only 17in.. :P but this ones fine 4 me

Argg.. jus found that its only compatible for only certain ATI video cards... it does not say 9000 is available and i haven't tested it yet.. i've only installed it and restarted couple times.. the program recognizes my video card, and provided me with menus where i can choose my resolution and refreshrate for each. Since i use 1024x768, i've done 75Hz it for that and done the same for 1280x1024, which is my desktop's normal setting. Do u think its still worth it? (since it recognizes my video card, i htink it should work.. and i hav some doubts about the compatibility list that are on the site)
The site is here --->Link

Sry if im asking so many questions.. i'd super duper appriciate it if u can answer my question once again q:D

As far as I know, increasing the refresh rate wont cause any problems, if you overdo your monitor, and cant see to change it back, press f8 when windows starts and use last know good config or safemode to set it back. Also the 8500 and the 9000 are fairly similar, so you should be safe. Also it says "supported cards: . . . Radeon (including 7000,... 8500,)". This could mean it includes these cards, but is not limited to those cards. Also one thing I noticed after doing this, is that the resolution of my OpenGL screensavers dropped to like 640x480 or lower. It looks bad, but im willing to sacrifice a screen saver of all things for better gaming performance.

Good luck tweaking

Oo.. ok well my screensavor right now looks fine, and so is cs.. but how do u check the frequency of the OpenGl?? gosh.. am i noob... :P

umm.. happened again.. posted with out my will.. anyways..

... and if the fps is showing 100 but is always 50-60.. then what is the prob with ToJ Server and me and the USP.... when im on other servers, fps shows 99-100, and im totally fine and my usp's accrucy is decent.. But while on ToJ, USP's accuracy is desacrated and the silencer barely helps. fps shows 40-60 at Toj.. anways.. so i know that fps is not the frequency as far as i knwo from earlier post.. (kinda confusing) so how do u actually check for the monitor frequency..

I'd again super appreciate the super duper answer that you will provide like you did earlier

I didnt realize you were using a flat screen monitor, (I read that in a different topic). Refresh rates wont matter as much for you in the first place, since they dont flicker, they fade out, like you can see when you make a quick movement. You wont really notice an improvement between 60 and anything higher. However, incase you feel the need to push your comp anyway... You can check your monitor frequency somewhere in the monitors menu. (the buttons on it, not a driver prgrm) I have a viewsonic crt, and its called the "viewmeter" on mine. It tells you the current res and frequency.

-About your fps thing, lately my fps have been dropping with the raise of my ping. I think the server is set so that your fps, drop instead of you freezing in place, and then appearing 10 steps ahead out of nowhere.
