Unfortunately i'm gonna have to disagree...

CS teaches you how to actually aim. Most of the time, all UT teaches you is how to jump around. When you play UT long enough, you start leading people upward, b/c you can assume that 80% of the people you're shooting at are going to do a dodge jump or just jump in the air. Thus, when everyone else is thinking that, and you duck (busting out your CS skills) instead of jump, you have a slight advantage. This doesn't always happen...but it's fun to walk up to someone to shoot them, or watch them just stand there after you've ducked a shot.

Of course, if there's anyone left on the internet playing normal UT, they're gonna know all this...those are the die-hard dudes...
 
I would think that after playing cs for awhile and hopefully becoming pretty adept at aiming one would be better at UT...worked for me...

wish we could play Scorched Earth online...
