Competition Team Policy

Thanks to Para for drafting the policy.

-----------------

1) All players must be a member of the Tribe of Judah for at least one month before you can try out (this is because we want you to get to know some of the people around ToJ and understand "whats going on)."

2) All players must show Christlike character in, and out of Counter-strike games. It is stated in the Tribe of Judah charter (Article III section 3) that the hostility rule(s) "does NOT apply to playful competitive language." HOWEVER, we will not be allowing hostillity of ANY kind on this team. We will go into more details about this once the team is formed.

3) All players must have Steam currently installed and version 1.6 working properly.

4) Practices will be held weekly, or possibly daily depending on when the next match is. Leaders will give you plenty of notice when a match is, and what days/times the team will be practicing.

5) The try-outs will be seperate 5v5 scrims. If we have more than 10 people, we will rotate people in in between games. If we have more than 20 people, we will still rotate, only more frequently. Those who are not playing will idle in IRC channel #ToJ-CS.

6) Once the team is decided, the decision is final. There will be no "re-tryouts" unless specifically announced the leaders.

7) We reserve the right to change or update this policy as needed.

Do not use this thread to discuss any of the above listed policies. If you have concerns or questions about any of these policies, please contact Para, Elite or myself and we'll be happy to discuss with you.

As I was re-reading through this I realized that some of you may not know what all goes on in a scrim.
So heres the deal:

The leagues that we will be joining CAL, plays with teams of 8 or more players with 5 players playing in a game.

So... league games play by whats known as "Max Rounds 24". This means that you will play one side for 12 rounds, then switch sides and play the rest of 24 rounds. And in leagues games
Your personal player score does NOT matter by any means. The score that matters is the score thats listed by your teams name.
For example, if im on the CT side, and we have won 7 rounds, and the T's won 5 rounds, then thats the score thats recorded, and not my nubby 2-5 personal score

So be smart. This isnt like a pub game where its all deathmatch. You have to work with your team, complete the map objectives (bomb/defuse), and score those team points to win.

Also, all maps are de_ so every map is a bomb/defuse.

As far as i'm concerned its still MR12. Theres rumors of it changing because of the populaity of UGS which uses MR15, but nothing official has been released yet.

MR 12 and 15 are max round sets plankeye (how many rounds each team plays each side of a map)
