comp problem

Because for whatever reason the HD is still number one on your boot priority list. There's gotta be a way to disable it for boot...

Could you tell me what brand/model your computer is and if it's custom built, the brand/model of your motherboard?
 
Hmmm... I can't really find any info regarding anyone else with this problem. Try going out to www.asus.com and tracking down the latest bios firmware and update your bios, then try getting into the bios themselves and changing the order there. You Should be getting a post screen when you boot which usually tells you which function key to press to access certain boot functions of the mobo (bios settings, boot menu, etc).
