comp doesnt boot after cleaning

its the wierdest thing, i took off the heat sink and fan to take out to the garage to use my mini air compressor (garage sale $2 doesnt have a tank so no worries bout moisture) and came back in and reattached it... now when i hit the power button it goes for like 2 secs, then does this wierd melodic beeping, the only way to stop it is to pull the power plug O_o . the beeping is pretty quiet after bout 8 seconds but yeah..... ideas?
 
ok ive taken out the ram, all pci/agp and just outa curosity i booted it up. it does the norm ram beeping then it shuts down and the wierd melodic beeping continues.... now just a note, the thermal grease became a bit smudged when re-seating. would that cuase any troubles??
 
ummm..... sounds like a 4/4 tempo: do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do with a melodic sound to it umm another way to explain is like u know how ambulances have diff sounds other than the wee-oooo-weee-ooo think like the older style of the ambulance sound of the do-do-do-do-do.... i'll see if i can hook up my mic and extra laptop with audicity to try n get the beep sound. heres a pic of the heat sink http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/Atown/DSCF0003.jpg
 
FREAKING L337 MONKEY SUACE PERFECTION! I LOVE YOU HESCOMINSOON! it somehow worked when i reseated the cpu and the heat sink a 3rd time. thankyou much
