Combat Rogue

I have come to realize that the rogue is my favorite class (for today, anyway). I have a level 47ish combat sword spec rogue on another server, and really enjoy it. In fact, so much so that I've created one here.

So, here's my question: Does anyone have any experience with a mace spec combat rogue? How well does the stun effect work? Does it work on big bosses, or are they immune? Am I better off going sword spec for the extra attack?

Enquiring minds want to know. And no, I do not want to be a dagger/assassination rogue; I'm not good at all that riverdancing stuff. :)

Sorry, can't help ya there. I am running as Imp Sap untill I hit end game instances at least. I notice more call for Imp Sap then combat up till then.

stun does not work well against bosses, they are immuned to most of it. Mace spec is a reasonable build for pvp and that is about it. I am a pvp dagger spec better known as a prep build (imp sap and cb ftw).

I don't know for sure, but it seems that the 'big bosses' are immune to about everything, so I wouldn't count on the stun buff working on them. However, in getting to those bosses, it might come in handy with the other elites.

I am a sword/combat rogue with imp sap and seem to do pretty well. The imp sap for cc works nice even in places like ubrs. I know that the other dagger spec'd rouges I have run with do a bunch more damage than I do, but their equipment is much better. I am waiting to see what I can do with some better swords and more high end armor.

i'm a dagger rogue with imp sap, prep, and relentless strikes. the standard combat spec for instance running appears to be swords. Sharps aka Larryboy (forums) aka Alan (irl) is a combat speced rogue and he might know more. I'm pretty sure that bosses are immune to the mace proc. they're certaintly immune to sap, though i am not sure if they are immune to cheap shot...

I appreciate y'alls' input. Since maces don't seem that effective in high-end pve, I will skip that build. I've played my rogue alt here a bit more and, much to chagrin, may actually take up riverdancing (ie, be assassin/dagger build). I can always switch back to combat if it becomes too painful for me.

Thanks for the input.
