currently im out of town, and im at a coffee shop that offers wireless, etc. I just had one of the worst white chocolate mochas ive ever tasted and was $3.75 becuase i was desperate for internet. so after relizing all the syrup as at the bottom of cup and i was going to make myself sick if i finished the coffee, i pulled out the laptop..... and im surfing forums at the speed of slugs.... this is worse than when i had dial-up. given theres like 16 other people with laptops, but theres 3 routers....... you would think i could least do my stuff efficiently.....

coffee shops, why u like them, why u hate em.

Don't drink coffee, nor do I use their internet, so I can't really comment on that, but I will say this:

Starbucks' hot chocolate is awful.

starbucks has 2 diff kinds of hot chocolate, some wierd syrupy stuff and reg hot chocolate, and i dislike starbucks becuase their machines, to make a long story short, more acidic which is less tastey, watery, and over charge, and charge for internet. so yeah, private businesses only for me.

Coffee shops are 30% of my social life.

I just started seeing someone regularly back in December, and if any of you have spent much time in nyc, you'd be impressed by how it's incredibly expensive to do anything here. So what she and I do is hang out coffee shops the majority of the time, whether it's "preparing to lead small group" or "doing evangelism team planning" or just hanging out. (Those quotation marks mean we do get a lot of chatting and catching up done, but we do get to work eventually!) Lately though, it's like the city is playing a cruel joke on us, and we've had nights during which we'd visit 3 or 4 coffee shops and they'd all be packed. We get the hint: we need to find something else to do. In closing, I'll say that Starbucks needs to start offering a rewards club, and if they ever discover that caffeine causes cancer, I'd be the first to go in for a screening.

While I love coffee, I just can't drink a lot of it.

I do love coffee shops though, especially the private, non-chain coffee shops. They have live Jazz every Sunday. A cup of coffee, the Sunday paper and good music...mmmmm

i just think they should provide quality coffee and quality internet if thats what their advertising.

There's a coffee and internet cafe shop about a minute's walk from my house...which is insane...because there I don't believe there's another place like that in the county and this is a residential area. I've never been in there though. Our coffee shops are primarily the small trailer variety that you pull up to.

LONG BOTTOM COFFEE WILL CONTINUE ITS PATH OF WORLD DOMINATION.

I really don't like coffee at all, but then again I am only 15. I might want to add that I refuse to get addicted to coffee, my mother is and I have seen her in the morning b4 she has had her coffee and she can't stay awake. It scares me.:p

Mmm coffee. When it comes to coffee I REFUSE to succumb to the siren/mermaid of Starbucks. She wont lure me into a watery death. I will only get coffee from 2 other places than my kitchen and workplace. Quik Trip, the best gas station chain in the south, and Dunkin Donuts. My wife will only get hot chocolate from Quik Trip, unless she makes it herself. Quik Trip probably has the best selection in the world when it comes to all things beverage. You can make your own milkshake, slushi, fountain with flavor syrup add-ins, coffee, hot chocolate, cappacino(sp?), the list goes on. Its much like walking into what I picture a gas station in heaven to be like. Except the one in heaven will have gas pumps made of gold, and actually pump water to run your cloud car on instead of gasoline....Hmm I think I need to make a trip to Quik Trip now after writing this.
