Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (anime)

I just finished the second series last night and was wondering if anyone else has watched the anime?

I haven't read the manga yet, so I don't know if the anime diverges from the manga plot.

I'm a tad behind, I admit.

My wife and I still need to catch up on Michiko to Hatchin, but we got bored with the series early on and have been watching more out of obligation than desire.

Back to the point: There are a few points in the story, especially near the end, that would make for interesting discussion among Christian fans of anime.

The first, and most obvious, point of discussion is the ending: Lelouch accepted the hatred of the world and accepted death. The ending of this series, like several other series, features a plot device reminiscent of Christ's death and resurrection.
